About

My name is David, and I’m a bespoke maker of watch straps and small leather goods. I work by hand, using traditional techniques and high-quality leathers sourced from renowned tanneries in Italy and the United States. Each piece I make is crafted to order, with careful attention to detail and a strong focus on fit, durability, and design.

In addition to my work at the bench, I also run two YouTube channels that reflect my interests and the broader story behind what I do. Saving-Time is dedicated to the restoration of vintage watches, a way for me to bring neglected timepieces back to life while exploring the history and engineering that went into them. Wasting-Time, on the other hand, is where I share my leatherworking process, documenting the making of custom straps and other projects from the workshop.

This is very much a family business. My wife, a historian by training, plays a key role in both the workshop and the stories we tell. She writes articles for our website on leather, craftsmanship, and the historical context behind some of my work, and she assists with research for the videos we produce. Her perspective brings added depth to the work we do, connecting the objects we make and restore to the past they come from.

Whether you’ve come here for a custom strap, an article, or simply out of curiosity, thank you for taking the time to visit. I hope you find something here that speaks to your own appreciation for quality, craft, and history.
